Update

The ACT Public Sector Medical Practitioners Enterprise Agreement 2013 – 2017 was approved by the Fair Work Commission on 21 Jan 2016.

The Enterprise Agreement will operate from 27 Jan 2016 and has an expiry date of 30 June 2017.

The Agreement provides the following pay increases:

  • Year 1 (2013-2014): a single $2,090 flat increase across all classifications OR a 2% increase to salary rates, whichever is the greater; and
    • 2% increases to applicable allowances from the first pay period on or after 1 July 2013.
  • Year 2 (2014-2015): a 1.5% increase in salary rates with effect from the first pay period on or after 1 July 2014; and
    • a 1.5% increase in salary rates with effect from the first pay period on or after 1 April 2015.
    • Increases in allowance rates (Annex D) will be aligned with annual pay increases.

  • Year 3 (2015-2016): a 1.5% increase in salary rates with effect from the first pay period on or after 1 October 2015; and
    • a 1.5% increase in salary rates with effect from the first pay period on or after 1 April 2016.
    • Increases in allowance rates (Annex D) will be aligned with annual pay increases.

  • Year 4 (2016-2017): a 1.5% increase in salary rates with effect from the first pay period on or after 1 October 2016; and
    • a 1.5% increase in salary rates with effect from the first pay period on or after 1 April 2017.
    • Increases in allowance rates (Annex D) will be aligned with annual pay increases.

  • Casual loading increases from 20% to 22.5% from commencement of agreement, with a further increase to 25% from 1 July 2015 (Clause 23).

Coverage

The agreement covers all medical Practitioners employed by the Health Directorate and Calvary Public Health Care ACT Inc (this does not include Visiting Medical Officers).
