Health professionals registration boards

The Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) is responsible for implementing the National Registration and Accreditation Scheme across Australia. AHPRA works with 15 National Health Practitioner Boards to deliver the scheme.

These Boards represent each health profession and are responsible for various functions, including protecting the public, and registering practitioners and students.

Please Note: not all health professional disciplines are required to register under National Law. These professional groups are also self-regulated and have requirements to ensure practitioners have accredited qualifications, follow codes of conduct and commit to continuing professional development.
