Complete the Application Form, Self Disclosure Form and the Police Check Form attached below - National Police Checks are mandatory.
The Working With Vulnerable People (Background Checking) Act 2011 commenced on 8 November 2012. The WWVP Act requires those who work or volunteer with vulnerable people to have a background check and be registered.
Proof of WWVP registration must be provided with your application. As a volunteer there is no charge for this check. Applications must be submitted to Access Canberra either online or in person at one of their shopfronts.

Volunteer Services will then contact you to discuss your application.
You will be required to complete a one day mandatory orientation program and also an area specific program. This will provide you with all the information and skills required to perform your role.
