The Working With Vulnerable People (Background Checking) Act 2011 commenced on 8 November 2012. The WWVP Act requires those who work or volunteer with vulnerable people to have a background check and be registered.
Proof of WWVP registration must be provided with your application. As a volunteer there is no charge for this check.

Volunteer Services will then contact you to discuss your application.
You will be required to complete a one day mandatory orientation program and also an area specific program. This will provide you with all the information and skills required to perform your role.
