National Apology Day

The National Apology focused the nation’s attention on the legacy of trauma and grief suffered by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people through colonisation.
Animals that are depicted throughout the Portal have a significant cultural relationship to ACT and the region.
The Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health portal aims to assist your search for information on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health issues, health organisations, policies and research including cultural events of significance.
The Health Directorate acknowledges the traditional custodians of the land we walk upon today, the Ngunnawal people and respect their continuing culture and the contribution they make to the life of this city and surrounding region.
