Parking at Canberra Hospital
Canberra Hospital has eight levels of its multi-level car park open for use by staff, patients and visitors.
The Yamba Drive car park is also available for use by patients and staff.
Parking at Canberra Hospital will continue to be monitored and reviewed, and ACT Health thanks you for your patience.
National Capital Private Hospital Parking changes at Canberra Hospital

Due to building works to expand the National Capital Private Hospital (NCPH) there will be changes to the parking area behind NCPH from Monday, 30 June 2014.
Some limited timed parking spaces will remain in the car park behind NCPH however ACT Health encourages the public to park in the Southern Multistorey car park or the Yamba Drive South car park wherever possible.

Our car parks
Canberra Hospital provides car parking facilities to visitors, carers and patients. These car parks are free, ranging from all day, non-time regulated parking to drop off set down areas at main entrances.
There are a number of ways to access the main multi-storey car park:
- Turn Right or Left off Yamba Drive onto Kitchener Street in Garran / Turn Right on to Gilmore Crescent / Second right on to Hospital Road (Street sign says Australian Red Cross) / through the roundabout opposite the main entrance / take the next right and the next right again / the multi-story car park entrance is off to your right
- Turn Right or Left off Yamba Drive at the sign for the Emergency Department / turn right and the multi-storey car park entrance is off to your left.
- If you're on Hindmarsh drive coming from Woden, take the next left after the major intersection with Yamba Drive onto Palmer Street / take the next left onto Bateson Road / proceed through the roundabout / take the right at the end of the street / the entrace to the multistory carpark is off to your left.
Public parking spaces
The main public parking area is the new multi-storey southern car park.
All eight levels are operating, with public parking on levels 1-4 and staff parking on levels 5-8. The car park is well lit and within easy walking distance of the hospital.
Levels 1 to 4 of the new Southern Car Park provides 1, 2, 4 and 6-hour time restricted public parking, a small number of all day car parking and disability parking spaces.
Alternate short stay public parking (up to 1 Hour) is also available in several smaller car parks on the campus, and in the Yamba Drive South car park that provides 4-hour time restricted parking and all day parking for staff and the public.

Motorcycle parking spaces
Motorcycle parking is available on levels 1 & 2 of the new multi level car park and beneath the Diagnostics and Treatment building (Bldg 12).
Public bicycle parking is available between building 1 and 10 and between building 5 and 6.
Staff bicycle parking is available in a storage facility located on level 1 of Building 3.
An additional staff bicycle parking facility is included in the new demountable office (Building 24) between Buildings 5 and 6.
Pick-up and set-down areas
Pick-up and set-down areas are located near the entrances to main hospital buildings.
These areas are not available for parking but provide an option for carers to drop patients off before seeking longer term parking in alternative parking areas on the campus.
