Placement In 2001 in Geneva, Switzerland to undertake project related to the use of antibiotics in food animals as growth promoters and any potential relationship to nutrition in the developing world.
Since 2000 has been part of most WHO expert meetings dealing with the issue of antibiotic resistant bacteria and their transmission from food animals (including as Chair).
In 2009 appointed to WHO Advisory Group on Integrated Surveillance of Antimicrobial Resistance (AGISAR). Reappointed in 2014 until 2019.
