Emergency dental

Emergency dental services are available Monday to Friday to all eligible clients of Community Health's dental health services who require urgent dental treatment.

Limited after hours emergency dental treatment is available at the Phillip Dental Clinic on Saturday mornings.

For weekend and public holiday emergency care, please contact 6205 1653 (recorded information line only).

Eligibility

  • Children under 14 years old who attend a school or reside in the ACT.
  • ACT residents, aged 14 to 17, who hold a Centrelink Concession Card.
  • ACT residents, aged 18 and over, who are primary card holders (name appears on top of the concession card).
  • Interstate Centrelink Concession Card holders and children under 14 who are visiting the ACT for a short period and who are triaged as an E or P1

Service access

For urgent dental treatment, you can phone the clinic first, saving time and possibly an unnecessary trip. You do not need to come in to a clinic in person. All clients will be assessed over the phone and those with the most urgent problems will be offered an appointment. Clients with non-urgent dental needs will be placed on a waiting list.

Emergency Dental services are provided Monday to Friday (except public holidays). A Saturday morning emergency clinic is available at the Phillip Dental Clinic only.

Note: Please bring your Centrelink Concession Card to each appointment, as well as details of any medication you are currently taking.
