The Health Directorate strongly recommends that all children should be immunised against the common infectious diseases of childhood.
General Practices and the Health Directorate's Immunisation Clinics provide all childhood vaccinations that are funded under the National Immunisation Program (NIP).
Childhood Immunisation Clinics
Immunisation is available by appointment at Child Immunisation Clinics across the ACT for children under 5 years of age. Appointments can be made by phoning Community Health Intake on (02) 6207 9977 between 8am and 5pm weekdays.
Children must be accompanied by their parents to receive their immunisation from Child Immunisation Clinics.
Please don't forget your child's Personal Health Record (PHR - Blue Book). Replacement copies of the Personal Health Record can be purchased from Community Health's regional health centres.

Childhood immmunisation requirements for School, Preschool & Childcare
There are immunisation requirements for children starting school, preschool and childcare. Further information ia avaliable by clicking on the link below.
Immunisation records for children age less then seven (7) years old are sent directly to the Australian Childhood Immunisation Register (ACIR).
Clients who require information about their child's immunisation history, can contact ACIR on 1800 653 809 or via the ACIR website.
High School Immunisation
If your child is in year seven or year nine at High School, the School Health Immunisation team of nurses offers age appropriate vaccinations at your child's school at a prearranged date and time.
Information is sent home to you via your child's school. Consent is required prior to vaccination. Further information is avaliable by clicking on the link below.
