Intensive Care Unit

The Intensive Care Unit (ICU) is a tertiary referral unit, servicing the Canberra and the Greater Southern NSW population, treating 1800 patients annually.

The 31 bed unit has dedicated cardio-thoracic and paediatric bays, and 4 fully vented negative/positive pressure isolation rooms.

Our accreditation

The unit has Joint Faculty of Intensive Care Medicine accreditation for 24 months of core training (ie JFICM C24 status).

Visiting restrictions

Families are welcome to visit at anytime, but only 2 people should be present at the bedside at any one time.
