Crisis Assessment and Treatment Team (CATT)

This team provides a 24 hour, 7 day a week service for the assessment and short term management for people with mental health issues presenting in acute distress or with an acute exacerbation of a longer–term mental health problem.

Dual Diagnosis Service

The Dual Diagnosis Officer provides consultation and liaison services to health professionals and services regarding issues that involve substance abuse in addition to mental health issues.

Assertive Community Team

This is a specialist mental health service that provides a team based, recovery focused service to those people with a first presentation psychosis and those with complex mental health needs.

Older Persons Mental Health Service (OPMHS)

The provision of specialist mental health assessment and treatment services by multi-disciplinary teams of medical and non-medical clinical staff.

Brian Hennessy Rehabilitation Centre (BHRC)

Inpatient facility, located on the Calvary Hospital campus, that provides a recovery focused model of care within a rehabilitation setting.

Mental Health Service for People with Intellectual Disability

The Mental Health Service for People with Intellectual Disability is a specialist, cross-agency, consultation liaison service providing comprehensive clinical assessment and psychiatric treatment to consumers with an intellectual disability and a mental illness. The team provides mental health expertise, training and education to community professionals and support persons assisting people with an intellectual disability and a known or suspected mental illness. This multidisciplinary service collaborates with treating practitioners, families, support persons  and other relevant agencies. Referrals can be made by contacting the Mental Health Service for People with Intellectual Disability team.

Mental Health Neuropsychology

A service that provides specialised neuropsychological assessment and consultation.  Referral required.

Aboriginal Liaison Officer

Provides consultation and liaison services to all mental health teams, Aboriginal youth services and adult medical services and other stakeholders as required.

Consultation Psychiatry Liaison Services

Provides specialist hospital assessment for people admitted to medical wards at both The Canberra and Calvary Hospital.   The liaison role also provides psycho education, health promotion and assistance with referrals.
