Canberra Hospital Nutrition Services
The Canberra Hospital dietitians provide a range of services including inpatient nutrition care, outpatient clinics, group programs as well as nutrition support to The Canberra Hospital food service.
Canberra Hosptial Nutrition is also the main centre for dietetic student training in the ACT. Dietitians provide clinical supervision and nutrition lectures to dietetic students.

We are located on Level 10 of Building 1 at Canberra Hospital.
Inpatient Nutrition Care
We provide individual nutrition care to patients during hospital admissions.
Patients may be referred to a dietitian by another treating health professional or they may request a dietitian assessment druing their stay
Our outpatient nutrition clinics include:
- Renal disease
- Food allergies and intolerances
- Sleep apnoea weight reduction (referrals accepted from the Canberra Hospital sleep physician only)
Services are free and self referrals are accepted (except for sleep apnoea clinic). Please contact us directly to make an appointment
Special Diet Service
The Special Diet Service liaises with the Food Services Department for meal and mid meal service requriements for patients with special dietary needs.
