Early Pregnancy Education
The Centenary Hospital for Women and Children holds Healthy Pregnancy Information Group Session, which are best attended before the 14th week of pregnancy.
They focus on early pregnancy issues, nutrition, self care, common pregnancy and reasons a woman may need to contact us, including to learn options of care and booking processes.
After this session a pre-admission Midwife appointment may be arranged.
Healthy Pregnancy/Information Session
Healthy Pregnancy/Information Session are held Monday and Thursdays from 3:00 to 5:00pm
This series is best attended before the 14th week of pregnancy and focuses on early pregnancy issues and concerns. After this session a pre-admission Midwife appointment may be arranged.
Part 1: 3:30pm - 4:00pm, conducted by a physiotherapist covers physical care, including discussion on exercise, pelvic floor care and back care.
Part 2: 4:00pm - 5:00pm, conducted by a midwife includes discussion on options of care, nutrition, self care, common pregnancy complaints and reasons a woman may need to contact her midwife or doctor. Pre-admission and admission booking processes commenced.
The Healthy Pregnancy series is a prerequisite to the Physiotherapy Department's Balancing Bellies Classes.
