Pregnancy Enhancement Program (PEP)

All drugs taken during pregnancy will reach the baby through the placenta. For this reason it is important to discuss any drug or over the counter medication (including vitamins) use with your caregiver. Contact our 24hr counselling and information line for more information on (02) 6207 9977.

The Pregnancy Enhancement Program (PEP) at Centenary Hospital for Women and Children provides supportive care for pregnant women who are on opiate replacement therapy and/or who use drugs or alcohol, and also specialised care to their babies. This care is provided in consultaion with a team of doctors, midwives, drug and alcohol nurses, and social workers.
