Anxiety

It is natural to feel doubt, fear and anxiety around pregnancy, birth and parenting, and some degree of worry is normal throughout this time.

Some women however, can experience excessive levels of worry, difficulty relaxing and feeling irritated. Given we all experience some worry from time to time, it is sometimes hard to know how much is too much.

Some symptoms of anxiety include:

  • Frequent worrying
  • Difficulty sleeping
  • Difficulty carrying out day to day activities
  • Feeling restless or on edge,
  • Sweaty, shaky or short of breath
  • Feeling scared
  • Muscle tension or stiffness
