EN/RN/RM Personal Classification Level 2

ACT Health Career Advancement to Personal Classification Level 2: ENs, RNs and RMs

ACT Health provides career advancement opportunities for Enrolled Nurses (ENs), Registered Nurses (RNs) and Registered Midwives (RMs) through a personal classification process as a Level 2 practitioner.

ENs, RNs and RMs who meet the designated role responsibilities and selection criteria of the Level 2 practitioner, who are permanently employed, and who seek career advancement, are eligible to apply.

The career advancement process requires:

  • a written application
  • submission of two (2) references:
    • one (1) from your CNC or CMC that includes a formal recommendation from your DON &/or DOM&N
    • one (1) from a colleague
  • attendance at a panel interview.

Career Advancement Information sessions

ENs, RNs and RMs who are considering applying for Personal Classification Level 2 are urged to attend an information session prior to submitting an application.

Information sessions will be held prior to each application round at Canberra Hospital & Health Services (CHHS) and at Calvary Public Hospital Bruce. You are asked to register to attend these sessions:

How to apply

Applications for career advancement are to be submitted electronically to the Nursing and Midwifery Office via email: nmo@act.gov.au

Applicants will need to access the revised application documents that include:

  • Application Package
  • Templates for the Referee report and Recommendations from the CNC and DON or the CMC & DOM&N
  • Templates for a separate Referee Report

Applicants are required to attach all required supporting evidence with their submissions. The list of evidence to support your application is itemised in the application package.
