Mental Health, Justice Health and Alcohol and Drug Services Postgraduate Scholarship Mental Health Nursing
There are two pathways to access the ACT Health postgraduate scholarship scheme if you are employed as a nurse in Mental Health, Justice Health and Drug and Alcohol Service (MHJHADS) areas.
PATHWAY 1: Via MHJHADS & the University of Canberra Collaborative Pathway
The collaborative pathway is offered in conjunction with paid part time employment working in clinical areas across MHJHADS while undertaking the academic program of study with the University of Canberra for a period up to 18 months.
The academic course is offered in a flexible delivery mode, combining directed learning packages, face-to-face teaching sessions, tele-tutorials, video-conferencing and a range of other support mechanisms aimed at maximising student learning experiences.
The course content addresses in-patient care, community mental health and various specialist settings in MHJHADS.
Process for Application
Separate applications are required for employment with MHJHADS and to enroll in the academic course at the University of Canberra.

Once you have undergone the interview process and been accepted onto this program you will be required to complete an online scholarship form through the Nursing and Midwifery Office of ACT Health.
PATHWAY 2: Via other Australian Universities
If you are a nurse employed by ACT Health (including staff employed by MHJHADS) and interested in postgraduate study you are eligible to apply for a scholarship to study at any Australian University of your choice.
