ACT Health provides placements in several key service areas. These include the following settings:

Rehabilitation and Aged Care Community Health services

  • Community and residential rehabilitation, geriatric services (inpatient and community), transitional therapy and care

Canberra Hospital

  • Tertiary level medical, surgical, maternity and paediatric services (including neo-natal intensive care, genetic services)

Mental Health, Justice Health, Alcohol and other Drug Services

  • Hospital based specialist services, supported accommodation services and community based service responses
  • Forensic mental health services, opioid treatment service, withdrawal service

Cancer Services

  • Screening, assessment, diagnostic, treatment (predominantly medical) oncology, radiation oncology, haematology, immunology and palliative care services

ACT Pathology

  • Specialist services in anatomical pathology, chemical pathology, diagnostic haematology, diagnostic immunology, microbiology, cytogenetics, and molecular pathology.

Population Health

  • Public and environmental health services, health promotion services, public health policy

Calvary Public Hospital Services

Via a contractual agreement with the Little Company of Mary Health Care ACT

  • Inpatient specialities: acute medical and surgical, mental health, palliative care and maternity
  • Outpatient services and an Emergency Department
