Cryptosporidiosis

Cryptosporidiosis is a disease of the bowel caused by a parasite Cryptosporidiosis parvum, which results in gastroenteritis. Infection occurs when Cryptosporidiosis parasites are ingested.

The duration of the illness in otherwise healthy people is less than 2 weeks, but may last up to 4 to 6 weeks.
