The University of Canberra Hospital is located on the north western side of the University of Canberra campus, on the corner of Ginninderra Drive and Aikman Drive in Bruce.

The main public entry is located off Guraguma Street, opposite the multi-level carpark.

Car and bike parking is available on site.

We provide 310 parking spaces that are designated for use by patients and visitors. These spaces are split between two car parks, including:

  • P1 Hospital General parking – multi storey car park on the eastern side of the campus available for use by staff, patients and visitors.
  • P3 Hospital Authorised Parking – basement car park available for use by patients and after hours staff

A small number of short-term, set-down parking spaces are also available at the main entry.

Parking is free upon validation of your ticket or with possession of an ACT Health access card. Unauthorised car park users may be charged a $20 fee to exit restricted car parks.

We can validate car parking tickets between 7:30am and 8:30pm on weekdays and 7am and 7pm on weekends and public holidays.

You can get a validate parking ticket from a UCH Security Officer on site if you require parking outside of these hours.

Emergency and patient transport and police parking bays are located opposite to the Equipment Loan Scheme Office.

Getting here by bus

UCH is easily accessible by public transport. Various Transport Canberra buses run regular services along the front of the hospital on Aikman Drive.

For weekday services, you can catch Bus 250 Black Rapid every 15 minutes from Belconnen Bus Station between 7am and 7pm.

Routes 12, 51, 251, 52 and 252 also run regularly from Belconnen Bus Station.

For weekend services, you can catch routes 902, 951 and 952 from Belconnen Bus Station.

Flexible bus service

The Flexible Bus Service is available to Canberra residents who have limited access to public transport. The service is free and designed specifically for older people or those with mobility difficulty.

It operates off a basic timetable and picks you up from your home and drops you at local community service locations. All buses are wheelchair accessible.

You must make a booking 2 days in advance of your travel. Passenger pick up starts at 9:30am, with return trips starting at 1:30pm.
