Partnering with the University of Canberra, the new hospital will be a hub for rehabilitation research and education.
The new University of Canberra Hospital: Specialist Centre for Rehabilitation, Recovery and Research will be an active research environment, supporting clinical and health services research.
The on-site Clinical Education and Research Centre will support collaborative research between ACT Health and the University of Canberra, as well as with external organisations and other educational institutions.
There will be research opportunities to support the delivery of evidence-based specialised rehabilitation services, including geriatric and mental health rehabilitation.
The research hub will enhance and support learning, clinical education, the delivery of person-centred care, and sustainable innovative practice.
