Quitting smoking when you’re pregnant makes you feel better and gives your baby a better start in life. Smoking during pregnancy can lead to many complications, including miscarriage, preterm delivery and low immunity in your baby. It can also increase your baby’s chance of developing type 2 diabetes, heart disease, kidney disease and adult obesity.
We recommend planning to quit as early as possible. Your body starts to get rid of the harmful chemicals found in cigarettes the day you stop smoking.
But don’t forget that quitting is your choice – take the time to think about the right decision for you and your baby.

It includes exercises and games to keep your hands busy and keep your mind off cravings. It also includes practical tips, advice and information on your baby’s development to help you stay on track and can be personalised to send you daily reminders and words of encouragement.
