The University of Canberra Hospital (UCH) has 4 inpatient rehabilitation that provide specialised and dedicated care to various people in the community.
Admission to each unit is based on an initial assessment and your individual needs.
Each unit provides single, 2 bedroom or 4 bedroom accommodation.
Nursing staff are available on each ward 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to help you with any concerns you may have.
Stromlo Unit
The Stromlo Unit provides care for patients with neurological conditions, including stroke, brain injury, spinal cord injury, motor neuron disease, multiple sclerosis and Guillain-Barre syndrome.
Majura Unit
The Majura Unit provides sub-acute services for older people with various medical conditions that are associated with ageing. Care is co-ordinated through a multi-disciplinary team consisting of Medical, Nursing and Allied health professionals.
Cotter Unit
The Cotter Unit provides rehabilitation services for older patients with limited physical ability and non-weight bearing restrictions who need home modification or placement.
Namadgi Unit
The Namadgi Unit provides care for patients with general rehabilitation conditions, including amputations and disability due to medical illness, surgery or trauma.
