If you have cold and flu symptoms you need to get tested for COVID-19 - and have a negative result - before going to our Walk-in Centres for treatment.
Walk-in Centres offer free health care for non-life threatening injuries and illnesses. They are located at the Community Health Centres in Belconnen, Dickson, Gungahlin, Tuggeranong, and Weston Creek.
Opening hours are from 7.30am to 10pm daily, including public holidays. No appointment is needed.
If you have complex health conditions or children under 2 years, please visit your GP for advice.
All Walk-in Centres are led by a team of highly skilled advanced practice nurses and nurse practitioners with extensive experience in treating people with non-life threatening injuries and illnesses. There are no doctors at our clinics. If you need to speak with a registered nurse, you can call Healthdirect at any time for advice on 1800 022 222.
If you need to speak with our Walk-in Centre reception staff, call 5124 8080.
In an emergency or life-threatening situation, please call 000.
Where possible, when attending a Walk-in Centre for treatment you should attend on your own, this is to minimise potential exposures due to COVID-19 requirements. If you do require a support person or are accompanying a child it is requested that you attend with only one other person.
The decision to continue to restrict visitors to our health facilities is always a difficult one, but it ensures we can protect the health and safety of everyone. This is especially necessary for our most vulnerable, particularly patients whose health is already compromised.
