Making an appointment

To book an appointment at any one of our Community Health Centres, please call 02 5124 9977 between 8am and 5pm, Monday to Friday and 8am to 3:30pm on Wednesday.

Community Health Intake (CHI) is ACT Health’s main booking line for community based services.

To book an appointment at any one of our Community Health Centres, please call 02 5124 9977 between 8am and 5pm, Monday to Friday and 8am to 3:30pm on Wednesday.

One of our CHI representatives will register your details and ask specific questions about your healthcare needs when you call to book an appointment. You may be transferred to one of our nurses for further assessment to determine your eligibility and organise the most appropriate service for your needs.

Please remember to bring any current medication or action plans. For children’s services, please bring their blue book.

Emergency treatment - Dental

Emergency and after hour’s dental treatment can be accessed during the week and on weekends and public holidays.

For weekday emergency treatment, please call CHI on 02 5124 9977.

For weekend and public holiday emergency treatment, please call 02 6205 1654

Limited after hours services are also offered at Phillip Dental Clinic on Saturday mornings. Please call the CHI.

Emergency treatment - Mental Health

If you require urgent assistance for a mental health concern, please call the Crisis Assessment and Treatment Team (CATT) on 1800 629 354.

Interpreter Service

If English is not your first language you have the right to use an interpreter when using all ACT Health services

This service is confidential and free of charge. You can choose to have a male or female interpreter if you wish.

To access an interpreter, please call the Translating and Interpreting Service (TIS) on 131 450. You can find more information at Multicultural Health in the ACT.
