Children who have been immunised overseas may require additional vaccines to meet the Australian Immunisation Program schedule. Please ensure your child is recorded on the Australian Immunisation Register.
Your GP may be able to transcribe your child’s overseas immunisation history and provide catch up immunisations if required. They can also advise you on vaccinations your child requires to meet the Australian National Immunisation Program schedule.

From April 2018 the ACT Government funded Childhood Influenza Vaccination Program offers free influenza vaccines to ACT children aged between 6 months and 5 years.
Influenza (known as flu) is a highly contagious respiratory illness caused by the influenza virus. It’s spread from person-to-person through coughing and sneezing.
Flu can be fatal for young children, even if they are healthy. A yearly flu vaccine is the best way to reduce the risk of your child getting sick and spreading it to others.
The free flu vaccine is available through your usual immunisation provider, including GPs and ACT Health Early Childhood Immunisation Clinics. Please consult your doctor as some charges may apply.
