From Friday 15 October – in line with the end of lockdown for the ACT – exemption processes for anyone who lives in New South Wales have changed.
From Friday 15 October – in line with the end of lockdown for the ACT – exemption processes for anyone who lives in New South Wales have changed.
A specific exemption to enter a health care facility is now no longer required.
This applies to people who are:
coming into the ACT to receive care from Canberra Health Services
team members coming to work, or
contractors working on our facilities.
However, for anyone living outside of the approved NSW postcodes an exemption to enter the ACT will still be required. This can be obtained by completing an online exemption form. To be granted entry to the ACT you will need to provide proof of employment, engagement, or an appointment at a health facility.
Patients, team members and contractors who work in the approved NSW postcodes will now no longer require an exemption to enter any of our facilities.
These changed processes mean that staff, patients and contractors will no longer be required to go through a two-step process in order to enter an ACT health facility.
