Winnunga Nimmityjah delivers a comprehensive range of clinical services and programs which suit the needs of the local community.

The midwifery team offers antenatal and postnatal care, community at home support, baby health checks, breastfeeding support, immunisations, and a range of women's health services.

Child and Family Centres

Located at Tuggeranong, West Belconnen and Gungahlin. Opening hours Monday - Friday 9:00am to 5:00pm.

The early years of a child’s life sets the foundation for their future health, development and learning. The Child and Family Centres are a one-stop-shop for supporting families during this important time.

The Centres are staffed by highly skilled, experienced and qualified practitioners with social work, psychology, specialised nursing or other health, welfare and education qualifications. The staff at the Centres work to deliver a range of support programs and services to assist parents and young children pre-birth to 8 years.

Selected services can be offered to children up to 12 years of age.

Maternal and Child Health (MACH) – Community Health Services

MACH offer home visits to all families with newborns with a referral from their midwife. This first visit is a chance to discuss the wellbeing and any health issues of you and your baby. It can also provide you with information about local services for parents.

Services include:

  • First home visits
  • Booked clinical appointments
  • Drop in clinic
  • New Parent Group
  • Feeding and settling (Early days and Sleep Groups)
