End of life and palliative care

Where can I have palliative care?

You can have palliative care almost anywhere you get healthcare. In most cases, you can have palliative care in the place that works best for you and your family. This may include care:

  • at home, either your own home or a group home
  • in a hospice
  • in hospital
  • in a residential aged care facility
  • in an adult respite facility such as Leo’s Place, or Bear Cottage in Sydney for children and young people.
