The Short Term Recovery Intervention for Disordered Eating (STRIDE) Program offers short-term cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT).

About this service

We offer up to 10 sessions of CBT with a provisional psychologist (undertaking post-graduate psychology training) under the supervision of board-approved clinical psychology supervisors.

Who we care for

The STRIDE Program is available to anyone who:

  • lives in the ACT
  • has an eating disorder or disordered eating behaviour, and
  • who is deemed suitable for the program by the Eating Disorders Clinical Hub.

The STRIDE Program is a voluntary service. We are not a medical or crisis service. If you are in crisis, please call Access Mental Health.

How to access this service

To refer yourself or someone else to the STRIDE Program, please contact the Eating Disorders Clinical Hub.

What to expect

Where we’re located

The STRIDE Program operates from the City Community Health Centre.
