Our oxygen and Equipment services provide various support to the ACT community.

Equipment Scheme

The ACT Equipment Scheme (ACTES) helps eligible ACT residents with a long term illness or disability, live and participate in the community, using equipment, aids and appliances.

To be eligible, you must be living in the ACT for a minimum of 6 months and hold a current Centrelink Pension Card or Health Care Card. This excludes a Senior Health Care Card or Mobility Allowance.

You must also have an application completed by your Medical Practitioner and Primary Therapist and be ineligible to receive assistance from private health insurance or other government funded schemes such as the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).

Domiciliary Oxygen and Respiratory Support Scheme (DORRS)

The Domiciliary Oxygen and Respiratory Support Scheme (DORSS) supplies oxygen and respiratory equipment for home use to eligible clients in the ACT. These are clients with a condition that meets the criteria of DORSS who have been referred by an approved consultant.

Equipment Loan Service

The ACT Equipment Loan Service supplies a range of equipment to clients in the ACT community. Equipment is supplied to clients on hospital discharge, for trial and general rehabilitation purposes.

This is a free, short term (3 months) service.
