Note:

The ACT Public Service Administrative and Related Classifications Enterprise Agreement 2018-2021 was approved by the Fair Work Commission on 27 March 2019.

The enterprise agreement will operate from 4 April 2019 and has an expiry date of 31 October 2021.

ACT Public Sector Health Professionals Enterprise Agreement 2018-2021

Update

The ACT Public Sector Health Professionals Enterprise Agreement 2018-2021 was approved by the Fair Work Commission on 29 May 2019.

The enterprise agreement will operate from 5 June 2019 and has an expiry date of 31 October 2021.

The Agreement provides the following pay increases:

  • 2.25% from the commencement of the first full pay period on or after 1 October 2017;
  • 0.5% from the commencement of the first full pay period on or after 1 June 2018;
  • 1.35% from the commencement of the first full pay period on or after 1 December 2018;
  • 1.35% from the commencement of the first full pay period on or after 1 June 2019;
  • 1.35% from the commencement of the first full pay period on or after 1 December 2019;
  • 1.35% from the commencement of the first full pay period on or after 1 June 2020;
  • 1.35% from the commencement of the first full pay period on or after 1 December 2020;
  • 1.35% from the commencement of the first full pay period on or after 1 June 2021.

Medical Practitioners Enterprise Agreement

Update

The ACT Public Sector Medical Practitioners Enterprise Agreement 2013 – 2017 was approved by the Fair Work Commission on 21 Jan 2016.

The Enterprise Agreement will operate from 27 Jan 2016 and has an expiry date of 30 June 2017.

The Agreement provides the following pay increases:

  • Year 1 (2013-2014): a single $2,090 flat increase across all classifications OR a 2% increase to salary rates, whichever is the greater; and 
    • 2% increases to applicable allowances from the first pay period on or after 1 July 2013.
  • Year 2 (2014-2015): a 1.5% increase in salary rates with effect from the first pay period on or after 1 July 2014; and
    • a 1.5% increase in salary rates with effect from the first pay period on or after 1 April 2015.
    • Increases in allowance rates (Annex D) will be aligned with annual pay increases.
  • Year 3 (2015-2016): a 1.5% increase in salary rates with effect from the first pay period on or after 1 October 2015; and
    • a 1.5% increase in salary rates with effect from the first pay period on or after 1 April 2016.
    • Increases in allowance rates (Annex D) will be aligned with annual pay increases.
  • Year 4 (2016-2017): a 1.5% increase in salary rates with effect from the first pay period on or after 1 October 2016; and
    • a 1.5% increase in salary rates with effect from the first pay period on or after 1 April 2017.
    • Increases in allowance rates (Annex D) will be aligned with annual pay increases.
Casual loading increases from 20% to 22.5% from commencement of agreement, with a further increase to 25% from 1 July 2015 (Clause 23).

Coverage

The agreement covers all medical Practitioners employed by the Health Directorate and Calvary Public Health Care ACT Inc (this does not include Visiting Medical Officers).

Nursing and Midwifery Enterprise Agreement

Please see the information below regarding the ACT Public Service Nursing and Midwifery Enterprise Agreement 2017-2019.

Coverage

The agreement covers all all registered nurses and midwives, enrolled nurses and assistants in nursing employed in the ACT Public Service.

ACT Public Service Nursing and Midwifery Enterprise Agreement 2017-2019

The enterprise agreement was approved on the 7 June 2019 and has an expiry date of 31 October 2021.The Agreement provides the following pay increases:

The first pay increase is to be back-paid to the first full pay period on or after 1 October 2017, with the second pay increase back-paid to the first full pay-period on or after 1 June 2018. The full pay offer is:

  • 2.25% from the first full pay period on or after 1 October 2017;
  • 0.5% from the first full pay period on or after 1 June 2018;
  • 1.35% from the first full pay period on or after 1 December 2018;
  • 1.35% from the first full pay period on or after 1 June 2019;
  • 1.35% from the first full pay period on or after 1 December 2019.
